Butler scored eight of his points during a key 22-7 run more than midway through the second half, as the Buckeyes turned a three-point deficit into a 12-point lead.

Greg Oden added 17 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks for Ohio State (25-3, 13-1 Big Ten), which has won 12 straight heading into Sunday's titanic matchup against top-ranked Wisconsin.

Daequan Cook tallied 12 points and six boards for the Buckeyes, who have also won 15 of 16 and improved to 17-0 at home this season.

The Badgers will travel to Columbus for Sunday's tilt, which will be the second of the season between the two programs. Wisconsin won the first meeting 72-69, but heads into this game on a down note, having lost to Michigan State on Tuesday night.

Geary Claxton had 15 points and eight rebounds to lead Penn State (10-16, 1-12), which has dropped 12 in a row. David Jackson had 14 points for the Nittany Lions, who led this contest deep into the second half before succumbing to the bigger and better Buckeyes.

Down 43-40 more than midway through the second half, Butler started a 22-7 run with a three-pointer at the 8:48 mark. Butler ended with eight points during the burst, that was capped by a three-point play by Oden with 1:19 left for a 62-50 cushion.

Ron Lewis had 11 points for OSU, which held off PSU 64-62 just a week ago in State College.

Down 15-11 in the first half, Penn State scored eight straight points to take the lead. Mike Walker's three-pointer with 5:18 left capped the surge and put the Nittany Lions in the lead, 19-15.

Penn State later led by as many as seven points, 25-17, following a Milos Bogetic three-pointer at the 3:06 mark and the Nittany Lions went into halftime with a 27-24 edge.

The Nittany Lions then scored the first five points of the second half to grab its largest lead of the game, 32-24. Danny Morrissey's layup 1 1/2 minutes into the stanza capped the burst.
