Alouettes re-sign Chiu to one-year deal

02/02/2010 - Montreal, QC (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Montreal Alouettes re-signed starting center Bryan Chiu to a one-year contract plus an option.

Chiu started 16 games last year for the Grey Cup champions and was selected to the East Division All-Star squad for the ninth time in his career.

"I'm honored to have another opportunity to be part of this team and defend our championship," Chiu said. "It's truly a privilege to have been a part of the Alouettes for as long as I have been, and it was great to get to share the Grey Cup with the people of this province and to see them smile."

On July 18 last year, Chiu set a record by playing in his 204th game as an Alouette.
